01 · About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and FINAL FAVOUR (PTY) LTD ("Final Favour", "we", "us"), registration number 2024/097778/07, a company registered in South Africa. They apply when you use our websites and when you take part in the Tapestry closed beta. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
Clauses marked Important limit our responsibility or place a duty on you, so please read them carefully.
02 · Using our website
You may use our website to learn about Tapestry, for your own personal use.
The website's text, design, artwork and the names "Tapestry" and "Final Favour" belong to us, or to those who license them to us. Our credits and licences page lists third-party material. Please don't copy, republish or use them commercially without our permission. You're welcome to share links to our pages.
03 · The closed beta
Tapestry is a private place to gather the story of a life. It is in a closed beta.
- By invitation. The beta is open to founding members we invite. Each invitation is a single-use code. Please don't share yours. Sign-in on the public website stays closed during the beta.
- Who can join. You must be 18 or older, and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Your account. An account is for one person. You can sign in with a passkey, with Google, or with a one-time code sent by email or by text message (South African numbers only).
- Important: keep your email, phone and devices safe. Tell us at help@finalfavour.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
- A work in progress. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn while we learn what works. Adding memories, photos and other content isn't open yet. The terms for it, including what stays yours, will be added here before it opens.
- Leaving. You can stop using the beta at any time. If you ask us at help@finalfavour.com to delete your account, we will do it within 30 days. We may end the beta or your participation, with reasonable notice where we can give it.
04 · Price
Taking part in the beta is free, and we won't charge you for it. Pricing hasn't been announced. We will publish prices before anyone is asked to pay, and nothing becomes chargeable unless you choose it.
05 · Acceptable use
Important. Don't use our websites or the beta to:
- break the law, or anyone's rights, including their privacy or copyright;
- harass, threaten, deceive or harm anyone;
- get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, or test or get around our security;
- upload malware, or interfere with the service;
- collect data by automated means.
We may suspend access to stop a serious or repeated breach, or where the law requires it. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why.
06 · Disclaimers and liability
Important. The websites and the beta are provided "as is". During the beta, features may not always work or be available. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
07 · Complaints
Please tell us first, at help@finalfavour.com, so we can try to put things right. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission, or, about personal information, the Information Regulator.
08 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and South African courts have jurisdiction.
09 · Changes
We will publish changes here with a new version number and date. We will tell beta members about changes that affect them before they apply. This includes the terms for adding content, for any paid plan, and for each feature added during or after the beta.
